Nowherelands/Landene som Forsvandt nominated to DMAjazz 2022
It is now official that the vinyl LP Nowherelands/Landene som Forsvandt (ILK326LP) is nominated in the category ‘vocal jazz recording of 2022’. The result will be announced December 7 at the official award party in Aarhus, Denmark. I am of course very proud and excited about it and I know the artists of GLAS are excited too.
Absolute Danstrup reviewed
Niels Overgård has written a nice review on his blog jazznyt.blogspot.com
The review is in Danish and ends up something like this: listen in and get captivated by the drama, the music and the story.
World’s Twelve Worst Books
I have finished recording 12 new songs for my next album, World’s Twelve Worst Books. This time the project involves 18 musicians and singers, and we had 5 days in the legendary studio in Copenhagen, The Village, with the phenomenal Thomas Vang as engineer. The album will be released in the autumn of 2022 on the ILK label.

New videos on YouTube
I have uploaded 2 new videos, both of them portraits of musicians: Django Bates and Chico Navarro. You couldn’t find two more incompatible people than these two! Click here for Django. Click here for Chico.
I had 2 nice days with a Danish-Norwegian group, December 5th in Copenhagen, Tuesday 7th in Oslo. The concerts are curated by PULS, a joint venture between the ILK label (DK) and Blow Out (N). I had the pleasure of inviting Helga Myhr, a young talented hardanger fele player, and Eivind Lønning, an extraordinary trumpet player and sound creator. Drummer Marilyn Mazur could unfortunately only join us in Copenhagen – she fell ill – and was substituted by Per Oddvar Johansen at the Kafé Hærværk in Oslo – he did a great job.
The single and the video is out
As forerunners for the album release on November 19, I have released ‘Jesus Gonna Make Up My Dying Bed’ featuring vocalist Michael Rexen and guitarist Per Gade
